The arrested youth has been identified as Kalandi Tarai, who was running a photocopying centre.<br /><br />Acting on a tip-off, Police conducted raid at his shop and seized a computer and a printer. Tarai was allegedly issuing fake COVID-19 negative certificates to people at Rs 300. Later, he reduced the price and charged around Rs 70 for one certificate.<br /><br />Sources said that the racket was mostly targeting labourers and used to issue fake gate-passes to them to gain entry into the IOCL unit situated in the area.<br /><br />The accused forged signatures and used fake rubber stamps of a government and a private doctor in the fake COVID certificates.<br />___________________________________________________________<br />OdishaTV is Odisha's no 1 News Channel.
